BC Provincial Festival Tours Cranbrook

Cranbrook has been selected as the host city for next year’s Performing Arts BC Provincial Festival, to be held June 2-6, 2020 at various venues around the city. The five day festival promises to bring upwards of 650 delegates along with their families to the community. The best of the province will be performing and receiving adjudication in nine separate disciplines; Dance, Piano, Classical Voice, Musical Theatre, Speech Arts, Chamber Music, Strings, Woodwinds/Brass, and Guitar. The winners will be performing at three public ‘showcase’ presentations at the Key City Theatre.

With planning and organization already well under way, The East Kootenay Performing Arts Festival recently toured the community and venues with the President of the Performing Arts BC Association of Regional Festivals, Margaret May, and the Association’s Executive Director, Antonia Mahon.

  1. EKPAF belongs to the B.C. Provincial Festival Association. In June 2021, BCPAF will be held in Cranbrook! Area performers may be selected, to enter or to attend as merited participants. EKPAF is supported by many local businesses and arts professionals, and managed by devoted volunteers. Your involvement in turn supports our thriving community of performers and teachers, and also the agencies that work with them.
